Music A Municipal Workbook

The music education course aims to develop and nurture children's ability to enjoy listening, to be able to perform a piece of music and finally to be able to create music. Through this purpose and parallel to it, music education aims at the general cultivation of the students' creativity and personality, through active listening, music creation and performance activities. In particular, students are expected to: Develop a positive attitude and love for music. To perform simple rhythmic and melodic patterns. To sing different songs in groups. Play a variety of simple instruments with some degree of control over the sounds produced. To recognize and identify with images sounds of nature, the urban working environment and the voice of animals. Combine sounds to produce simple compositions. To record their music to remember it later, using appropriate media. Listen carefully to different types of music and recognize their basic elements. To use simple terms for the music they have heard and performed. To listen with concentration, internalize and recall sounds. To organize and use expressively in simple structures elements of pitch, duration, dynamics, rhythmic treatment (tempo).
