With the book of the Ancient Greek Language of the 3rd Grade, an effort is completed to renew the material and the way of teaching the course that started from the 1st grade of the Gymnasium. The writing team that undertook to implement this effort feels the satisfaction that after painstaking and fruitful searches, following the Curriculum, came up with a proposal that will be judged during the teaching practice.

This book, like the previous ones, includes texts of the Attic dialect, mainly of the classical era but also later. The subject matter of the texts, as a rule, the presentation of the linguistic and morphological elements, and, finally, the variety and grading of the questions and exercises, we believe, make it easier for the students to understand the evolution of the Greek language, to understand the roots of the language they speak and complete the first basic contact with the ancient Greek language.

We hope that the purpose of writing the books and the three Classes of the Gymnasium will be achieved, if the teachers, on the one hand, teach the students the basic principles of the language and, on the other hand, arouse their interest to learn more about the ancient Greek language and the written texts. to her.
