Description

The Great Image of Heaven

Before the Earth was mapped, man already imagined the night sky covered with images. Pictures from myths with heroes or wild animals.
Guided by the Great Image of the Sky, we will trace the formations of the stars and constellations in the starry dome, connecting mythical stories with astrophysical data, the old myth with the modern scientific narrative.
With the Great Image of the Sky as a navigator we will travel starting from what we see and feel towards the detection of the limits of human knowledge. Universe and Time, the two great cosmological question marks, also mark the end of this great wandering in the magical world of stars and galaxies.
The Big Picture of the Sky is both a trigger and a challenge for reflection, so that by considering scales that exceed our imagination, we redefine our perspective on life and our world.

The Great Image of Heaven is divided into 2 parts.
The first, more accessible, is an index of the constellations given in a lively and narrative style, as if the author is showing us and talking to us about the stars he knows so well.
And in the second, entitled Ideas for more advanced people, he presents in simple terms our knowledge of the Universe so far.
