Students are asked to: Recite, read, write and order natural numbers up to 1000. Perform addition, subtraction and multiplication operations with numbers not exceeding 100. Use transposition and associative property in addition and multiplication. Understand the meaning of partition. To apply the procedure of measuring length and surfaces with conventional and arbitrary units of measurement. Practice measuring time, money and mass. Recognize, describe and extend numerical and geometric patterns. Practice drawing, reproducing shapes and recognizing the characteristics of these shapes. Define points and draw straight segments and lines. Empirically recognize parallel and vertical lines. Distinguish the solids: the cube, the rectangle, the cylinder and the sphere. Observe if a shape has an axis of symmetry and complete the symmetry of a shape.
