Visual Arts A and B Municipal Workbook

The teaching package of the 1st and 2nd grades consists of three books that mark only the beginning, the introduction to the world of art. Each of their units is the occasion for further in-depth study of the subject. Students in each unit can find more material on each artist and art form and enrich their knowledge by consulting various sources, such as museums, various institutions, art books and magazines, encyclopedias and the Internet. The processing of each topic in the student's book is based on the utilization of the experiences and knowledge of the children.

The student is wanted:

• To research and experiment with different materials creating visual works.
• To express ideas, experiences and feelings through his works.
• To acquire knowledge and information about visual arts.
• To discover that art is a great way of expression.
• To use terminology to express his thoughts, opinions and feelings about works of art.
• To use art to complement other lessons. – To develop an appreciation and interest in Art and a desire to participate in artistic activities.
• To recognize basic visual professions.
