Anthology of Literary Texts A and B Primary

The literary texts selected by the writing team of the 1st and 2nd Primary Anthology are proposed as occasions for the acquisition of knowledge, reflections, inspiration, awareness of universal issues and creative expression. The selection of the texts was based on the possibility of the interdisciplinary connection of literature with other subjects (Language, History, Environmental Studies, etc.). But mainly the texts are related to the Visual Arts, Music and Theater courses, due to the common aesthetic denominator that connects them. The intention is for the texts to be characterized by variety and multifacetedness, so as to allow an expanded approach by all children, regardless of their cognitive level.
An attempt was made to include texts from different periods of time, so that the student can gain a global understanding of the evolution of literary creation in our country, but mainly emphasis was placed on children's literature of the last thirty years for two reasons: a) Because this period is characterized as the more creative since the authors are consciously addressing children. b) Why the texts are of particular interest to children, as they express contemporary concerns and topical issues.

Main objective of the book it is the contact of the child in the first two grades of the Primary School with aesthetic texts, mainly Greek artistic and popular literature, his familiarization with extracurricular books and his encouragement to develop his creative imagination.
