The content of the course of the Texts of Modern Greek Literature of the 1st Gymnasium includes selected literary texts, vernacular or words, by established authors, older, newer or modern, in complete or fragmentary form with relative autonomy, which cover poetry, poetry, view, poetry , from both modern Greek and foreign literature. The selection is made according to literary criteria. The contents are arranged in 13 thematic sections focusing on man in relation to nature, social life, tradition, national physiognomy, historical continuity, modern problems, the struggle for life, great values, love, friendship and other issues related to students' age interests. The texts of foreign literature are classified in the respective periods for comparative reading. Literary texts are collected, poetic and short, theatrical, folklore and fairy tales, selected for their literature, content and compatibility with the perceptual ability of the students in the class.
