Description

Physics with Experiments A High School

In elementary school, in the "Physics" lesson of the 5th and 6th grade, you studied natural phenomena and natural concepts by doing experiments and drawing conclusions. In high school, in the course "Physics with Experiments" of the 1st grade, you will continue to study natural phenomena and technological applications with a similar methodology, but in addition you will begin to systematically measure the values of physical quantities, as we will call some physical concepts, doing again experiments and drawing conclusions.

Experimentation is essential in the natural sciences. The word science comes from the ancient Greek word epistamai = I know well (and accurately). The exact knowledge of science about the natural world has come from a process that science applies over the years and is called scientific research. This research is done with the scientific method. The researcher, on the occasion of an observation or a question, is interested in discovering the answer, formulates hypotheses, performs experiments to confirm a hypothesis, which he states in theory, but also constantly checks its accuracy…

Experimentation, however, is also necessary in education in the natural sciences, in physics. In the context of the educational process, which is analogous to
scientific research, we apply the scientific / educational method by investigation (or as it is called in elementary school the research-evolving educational model). An essential component of this method is the experiment. The student, on the occasion of his observations or questions, is interested in learning, discussing and guessing, doing experiments, inferring and, finally, applying his conclusions. In other words, it follows similar steps to those of the scientific method.
