Hiking map for the Asterousia - Phaistos area in Crete and at a scale of 1:25 000. The Asterousia is a large mountain range south of the Mesara plain in the prefecture of Heraklion. Barren and wild landscapes, especially the side towards the Libyan coast, which is furrowed by successive canyons. Many of them are passable and give access to secluded beaches with wonderful waters. Special features of the area are the many hermitages and chapels in caves and the large number of vultures and other birds of prey.
The map provides information on hiking routes.
