The book you are holding in your hands has been written according to the new syllabus of the 3rd Lyceum for the positive and technological direction, prepared by the Pedagogical Institute.
Material includes mechanical and electromagnetic oscillations, waves, ideal fluids, solid state mechanics, inertial reference frames, shocks, and the Doppler effect. Then in the last two chapters some first knowledge of modern physics with the theory of relativity and quantum mechanics is introduced.
Our main aim was to write a book as friendly as possible to the student. We have tried to negotiate the issues with clarity and frugality and not to open paths that the level of the class does not allow us to follow to the end. An attempt was made to connect the physics topics we deal with to the students' daily experience. The math in the book is simple, corresponding to the level of the class it is aimed at.
