English B and C High School

This teaching material is recommended for the teaching of English in the General Lyceum, in order to offer students the opportunity to use their existing language communication skills and to be actively involved in activities aimed at further linguistic, social and their psycho-emotional development.
The material is divided into thematic sections. Each unit includes activities for understanding and producing spoken and written language in the foreign language, which are designed taking into account the students' previous knowledge and skills and aim to cultivate their linguistic communication skills in the foreign language through authentic communicative situations. Specifically, students are asked to read, write, converse, understand, observe, search, present and process information critically and creatively, on an individual or group level. In this way, they will have the opportunity to be informed and reflect on issues of general and more specific interest that are directly related to their daily lives.
