French A Lyceum

In the context of the French course in the 1st Lyceum, students are taught language elements in order to meet communication needs in various social situations. The presentation of language elements is part of a socially and culturally determined language environment, defined by various thematic areas, which mobilize students' interest and at the same time cover their future needs. An important part of the subject matter is shared with that of the High School. However, at the Lyceum level, the approach, as well as the processing of each thematic area, is adapted to the level of knowledge of the students and the interests of their age, which may be determined, among other things, by local specificities or by the eventual professional specialization of their studies. It is emphasized, finally, that the processing of the issues should have, where possible, an intercultural character.
